Frequent questions

THE MISSION OF THE BEES

Bees are amazing insects! They live in a highly functional society where efficiency is the law and the Queen Mother rules.

All their activity is based on the collection of resources (pollen, nectar, resins) or the generation of resources (wax, propolis, royal jelly) to eat, winter and, very importantly, to swarm or migrate to different areas.

Swarming or migrating is paramount in their task of pollinating the world's flowers, which is ultimately the mission of bees.

ARE THE BEES DYING?

Indeed, intensive agriculture, with the use of herbicides and pesticides, plus the urbanization of the land and therefore the elimination of wild areas, are killing not only the honey bees that we know, but also all the rest of the insects pollinators such as butterflies, bumblebees, even pollinating ants.

That is why it is super important to plant flowers to feed the bees of our world!!!

WHAT IS BEEKEEPING?

Beekeeping is the activity of keeping bees. It began between 4,000 and 8,000 years before Christ and we can say that it was highly studied for centuries by various cultures, even worshiped by others such as the Egyptians. Great philosophers and strategists studied their behavior in order to learn from a society that is so perfect that nothing has changed in the last 14,000 years, making us realize its premature evolution.

WHAT DOES SUSTAINABLE BEEKEEPING MEAN?

It is important to know that bees are not only very efficient in gathering resources, but also highly generous in gathering them. That is, a hive will always generate more resources than it needs if conditions allow.

Sustainable beekeeping is basically harvesting the surpluses that a hive can produce while respecting 100% what it needs for itself.

It is proven that the better the conditions that the beekeeper can give to the hive, the better results he will have. In this sense we are proud to have healthy and nourished hives throughout the year!!
